Domaine Guy Robin

Domaine Guy Robin

When Marie-Ange took over the family domaine from her father, Guy, she had been living and working in Paris as a very successful fine-art auctioneer. However, the calling to return home to Chablis was too strong to ignore. Thanks to the persistent work of her father, on arrival Marie-Ange had an enviable palette of grand cru, premier cru, and AOC Chablis vineyards, spread across 20 hectares, now at her disposal. The vines are cared for as sustainably as possible, following organic principles as much as weather conditions will allow. Some 80% of her vines would be considered “vielles vignes” having been planted by her father in the 1950s and 1960s. Once in the winery, the grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts in tank, then matured in oak barrels for one year, with roughly 10% being new each year.

The 2023 vintage on offer are the last wines to be produced by Domaine Guy Robin, as Marie-Ange has now retired from winemaking.
