Domaine Besson
Honest and affordable Burgungdy can be hard to find these days. When we first met Xavier and Guillaumette Besson and their son Henri-Vital we knew we found the perfect partners. Their property in Givry has been family owned and operated for 4 generations where they today exploit some 12 hectares of vines. Vinifications here are traditional with native yeast fermentations and aging in a mix of 228L and 500L barrels, 30% of which being new. The wines are everything one could want from the Cote Chalonnaise : wonderfully perfumed, delciously spicy red/dark fruits, and bursting with personality.
